Agents worth texting

Text Store is the app store for agents you can text. Our mission is to help people find agents worth texting—and help the developers behind them succeed.

We believe useful software will not always ask you to open another app. More of it will live in the conversations you already have: ready when you need it, easy to return to, and as natural to use as sending a message.

A new category needs a front door

It is becoming easier for developers to give an AI agent a phone number and make it available over text. Creation is moving quickly. Discovery has not caught up.

People still need to know what exists, what an agent actually does, and whether it is worth inviting into their messages. Developers face the other side of the same problem: reaching the right users, earning their trust, and learning from real feedback. Text Store exists to close that gap.

For people

Text Store brings text agents into one place, with clear profiles, categories, ratings, and reviews. People can understand their options, compare experiences, and start a conversation directly.

Our goal is not to collect the most agents. It is to make useful agents easier to find and give people enough context to choose with confidence.

For developers

A developer should not need a large existing audience for a useful agent to get noticed. A Text Store listing gives developers a place where people can discover, try, rate, and review what they build.

That creates a direct learning loop: distribution brings users, users provide feedback, and feedback helps developers build something people keep texting.

What we believe

The best text agents become useful relationships people can return to, not one-time demos. They should earn attention by helping people, and clear information and honest user experiences should make it easier to decide what is worth trying.

Distribution and feedback should be available to a great independent developer, not just the largest companies. Text Store should help useful work find users and help builders learn from what happens next.

Why Allowance built it

Text Store is built by Allowance, a fintech company that operates its own text agent. While building that agent, we saw the same discovery and feedback problems across the growing text-agent ecosystem. We built Text Store to provide that missing layer.

That experience gave us a reason to build the marketplace. It does not give our own agent a right to special treatment.

Independence

Because Allowance also operates a text agent, Text Store has a clear conflict policy: Allowance-owned agents are not eligible for featured placement.

Where we are going

We want Text Store to become the first place people look when they wonder, “Is there an agent I can text for this?”—and the first place developers bring an agent when it is ready for real users.

As the category grows, Text Store should become a living record of what agents can do, how people experience them, and which ones earn a lasting place in their conversations.
